About Rustenburg

The city of Rustenburg is conveniently situated at the foot of the breathtaking Magaliesberg mountain range in North West Province of South Africa.  Rustenburg is only 30 kilometres from Sun City and the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, and a mere 90 minutes drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg.

The Hartebeesport Dam, only 40 minutes from Rustenburg, is a getaway for many tourists, and the easy pace of life at the dam is a great place to unwind.

Rustenburg (also referred to as the Platinum City) is located on major highway routes and close to 2 major centres, making it a hub for tourist activities.

Rustenburg was founded in 1851 and is the third oldest town of the former Transvaal Province.  Its jacaranda tree-lined streets are the hub of a thriving agricultural and mining industry.
